Please join us this Saturday, June 20th, at 10 am for a very informative webinar regarding Green Hill Pond.
I will provide a brief update on the projects that are underway to preserve and protect our Pond. Following that update, Dr. Alissa Cox will be discussing onsite wastewater treatment systems (septic systems), which are arguably the most important factor in the health of our pond. Dr. Cox earned her PhD in Soil Ecology and Microbiology at the University of Rhode Island. Her research focuses on wastewater treatment systems near shore coastal areas. I have found Dr. Cox to be not only extremely knowledgeable about this important topic but also an engaging speaker. Friends of Green Hill Pond are thrilled to have Dr. Cox share her knowledge of wastewater treatment and how we all can help in better preserving Green Hill Pond.
For this webinar, we will be using URI’s WebEx service which is slightly different than the Zoom meeting service that many of you may have been using.
